Disconnection
When transformation happens on one end and the other fights to catch up.
When the body-mind connection goes You float between two entities. One fully conscious to the numbing feeling Rooted to the ground - heavy, still. It cries and cries without pause Exhausted and hollow inside. The other whispers and mutters helplessness Wanting to find a place for shelter. Like a cat that sits in a box for security, It seeks a safe haven Its own 4 cornered physical presence. When you transform, when you change One will always take the lead. Its the body that is built to adapt To be sturdy, to be that physical defence. It will feel it first like a snake shedding skin But over and over and over and over, And the mind can barely keep up with the first layer But it never stops, it never ends. So the mind panics, The mind forces itself to adapt To meet the body where it is. But what of the body? Why can't it slow down Or meet the mind where it is? So the disconnection continues, Until compromise is met Until grounding can occur. And the mind and body come back together In wholeness and duality.
