Into the Silvery Web
A whispered story from the web’s quiet queen - a poem about hunger, silk and quiet seduction.
Here you are stuck in my spider's web, Where the prey are never unstuck. I weave and weave my magic thread Never giving up my true intent. Innocently I trace your destiny, Line by line, one side to another. I never asked you to come along Yet the invitation is open for all. Guest after guest, they all come. None can resist the pull of my hosting, The sticky silks that I have created Unbeknown as your final resting place. Once ensnared, the dance begins - A tug here, a tug there. Vibrations signal your readiness, The macabre music resounds. The despair and agitation excites, Pulsating down my extended limbs. Crawling, writhing, growing hunger - Ready to sit at the head of the feast. Ever the lady, I always entertain, Spinning and twisting the threads. You lay in your spot, enthralled By my parting performance. The last thing you see is hungry eyes, As the translucent threads bind. Realising, as you stand before me, You are powerless to my domination. Your eyes widen then shut, Your body shudders then collapses, Escape is futile - succumb to fate. My face is the last you will ever see... Those who dare to venture into the spider's web Find all too late it's your lasting bed. Lulled into my effortless grace, As I ensnare you into my silvery embrace.

Great poem! Seductive and drawing.
