Threshold
Choosing to step forward into the unknown.
I wake up to the silence The feeling of emptiness My mind and body Not yet one whole essence My soul feeling displaced. What is the giant void I feel inside me? What is this growing sense of So what now that lingers inside? The Universe tests and tests And tests to see if finally You have broken the cycle Finally learned to trust. To prepare you, it purges all That no longer aligns with you. It makes you choose And you must make that decision To go with the flow or fight the current. Its your choice So I choose. To remove the shackles that hold me down And freefall into the unknown, To sit in the discomfort of this threshold, To reflect on lessons learnt and loss, To understand the why. To trust, to believe, to accept, There is something more for me. Choosing opens up the door A distant beacon glows - light and warm. My soul yearns to go to my destiny. Its my choice And I choose to ascend.

This is an incredibly beautiful poem, Huihui!
You've captured the deep discomfort and necessary surrender that comes with profound change. The feeling of that "giant void" is something so many of us recognize when facing the unknown.
But your choice to "freefall into the unknown," to "sit in the discomfort," and ultimately to "ascend" is truly inspiring. It’s a powerful testament to trusting the process, even when the path isn't clear.
Thank you so much for sharing.💛
